These speakers allow you to turn the master volume, bass and treble up or down depending on your preference. This is a must have for all you gamers.
Great Sound Quality
Just bought a pair of these for use with my PC (listened to them first at COMET) to listen to music.
Awesome sound; very clear and deep bass - not the usual boom which I heard from labtec and creative speakers (I listen to a lot of bass heavy music such as reggae and African). Also excellent mid and top end sound.
If you can live with the unique design then .... just buy these.

Joytech Spherex Xbox 5.1 - Surround Sound System (Xbox 360)
Very sexy sounding speakers
They sound awesome. All the noises are crisp and the bass is house rumblingly loud (if you want it to be) and tight and controlled when it needs to be. I have it hooked up to my xbox 360 and digital tv and even watching tv is a new experience.
Every aspect of the system setup can be tweaked so if you have to place them unevenly it can be set up to compensate. They also support just about every format under the sun and with the USB port you can download patches to support new sound modes as and when they are released. They are definitely worth the money you pay and have totally transformed the games and films I watch.

I spent all weekend testing digital 5.1 surround systems with my xbox and this was definatley the best!
A trip to richer sounds with my xbox 360 was the only way could decide on the best audio system.
I actually got recommended seperates to start with, and the guy in the store showed me a seperates system made up of sony and yamaha for £450. But i insisted on trying the spherex and even the guy in the shop was blown away by its performance! so i handed over £199 and set off on my journey walking from Leeds Richer Sounds to my car.............. bad idea! this thing weighs loads! i managed 30 seconds before i had to take it back to the shop and drive my car around to pick it up!
Get this system! it looks cheap in the online photos but once you see it in the flesh you realise that this thing is going to be quality!
Im cuttently playing Call if Duty 3 through it and its a totally different experience from standard stereo.
Buy JEAN MICHELLE JARRE - AERO CD/DVD - it has loads of fantastic 5.1 dolby digital DVD tracks which will really show off your new bit of kit!

excellent - a bargain too - read on
bought this a week ago, and it is simply amazing. If you have a plasma tv and a 360, you NEED this system. The 360 vga cable to connect to your plasma allows you to watch dvds in hdmi mode on your tv, but also has a fibre optic connection at the xbox connection, so, plug in the fibre optic cable supplied with the surround sound system, and listen in ore to your 360 purr through its games, amazing sound quality. Put all your cds onto the 360 hard drive and hear the crystal clear quality of spherex's genius creation. Honestly, you cannot go wrong with this system, i thought before i bought it it might not be the best thing as it has xbox written on it, and could be a bit of a gimmic, WRONG!!!, get over it and get one bought. Now, heres the bargain bit, RICHER SOUNDS AT SHEFFIELD HAVE 4 LEFT AT £199.99 - BE QUICK, it really is worth it - GO - NOW!!!!!

Cool, but i don't think i'd buy one again
these speakers are cool, but the only thing wrong with them is that the little cable going from the speakers to the GBA does sometimes get in the way of the R button, so I urge you, if you play FZero - get it for the sound, but don't expect good gameplay

Great addition to the GBA. Look cool and clip on easily. Give great sound quality. Dont know what I did without them!!!!

I bought it for my GameCube but I've got it plugged into the TV all the time as it makes DVDs sound fantastic too. Highly recommended for the money.

HERAO GC2.1 Purple game speakers
Impressed
I am not a techno buff so I was confused with the choice of speakers available on the market not knowing which ones to get. I also worried if I had made the right choice, well I was not disappointed these speakers are really very good. The sound is clear with no hiss or vibration, well worth the buy. The style of the speakers do indeed compliment the game cube beautifully.

superb!!!
this has to be the best speaker system on the market. when i first bought it i rushed home rippeed open the packaging and plugged it in, the firt game i tried this with was halo, it was amazing......bullets flying everywhere and the strange sounds of the enemy coming from behind. secondly i tried the surround sound system with colin mcrae rally 3 (one of the best games ever !!!!) this was absolutely superb i couldnt stop playing for hours the sound was ncredible , the engine sounds from the front, the throaty sound of the exhaust from behind and the sound of my co driver to my side, and all the time the sound being crystal clear even if i turned it up full blast not even one problem occured with the sharpness of the sound.(UNBELIEVABLE !!!!!!!!) i myself own a gampod ( ash design ) when used with the xbox colin mcrae rally 3 and this superb sound system you are glued in front of the tv for hours. you can use this system with any game and you'll be blown away ( literally!) by the superb quallity of the sound, i cant stop raving to my friends about this product, they have also used this speaker sytem and they highly recommend it. be the envy of all your friend, even your gran ! and buy this sound system ............what are u waiting for , order it now its tooooo good to miss . my finall verdict SUPERB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The optimal solution
Taylor made for the xbox these speakers offer excellent all round perfrmance. I originally had set of top range Phillips computer surround speakers that I thought were wonderful - until they blew! I'm so pleased they did. These creative ones are much more powerful and hence have much better audio quality. They link directly to my xbox/dvd-player optical port avoiding any sound degradation. I wouldn't dream of upgrading these for a more expensive silver cinema system cos there really is no need - they're that good. They also look good too. Only reservation is the leads are too short for a large room (easiliy fixed with standard mono phono cables)even though. the sound would definitely fill it. Seriously - I played Ghost Recon Island Thunder and I almost caught a cold from the rain splashing around me and got half deafened off a grenade at about half volume. Pity my neighbours.
A superb mid range product
I have decided to leave it a few months before i wrote this to see if i came up with any niggles. There was no need - the system is astounding with great sound quality all the way up to the loudest volume.
Ive hooks it up to my TV and my Xbox with the optical cable and as other reviewers said 'nothing can beat it....'
THe looks are a huge upgrade from anything else on the market at the same price range with the digital decoder (allows you to use your xbox with digital encoding through optical cable) a key selling point.
The only niggles ive had with it is the lengths of the speaker cables provided. Though that was sorted with some cables that cost me two pounds with no sound quality lost.
THis sound system looks as though it will follow be through university and beyond.....

2.1 Speaker System
Dont be fooled! This speaker system sucks!
I bought this speaker system after reading the great reviews shown right here on Amazon and frankly i'm appalled! Were to start?! The sub rumbles and pops with all the quality of a dustbin and as for the "satilite" speakers, they really are dreadful! What seems to be genuine quality sound is let down by the most terrible hissing - the kind you expect to hear in an A reg MG Metro! The only reason i'm giving this 1 star is because of the handy cable that allows you to link the console to MORE SUPERIOR forms of audio equipment! Seriously, dont be fooled, there are far better sound systems on the market!

this is great. this sound system plug into the gamecube its self and also many other audio player thats have a earphone socket. the bas is amazing and the volum is deafaning. if you want extra soung out of your game and enjoy them even more get this system. wow it wil blow your mind.
Good Solid Sound, A GREAT buy!
This FANTASTICALLY good quality Speaker System adds the topping to all of your favorite GameCube games.
The sound is definatley VERY clear, precise & LOUD! The Bass is fantastic thanks to the built in Sub-Woofer. Yes, it may only have 2 little speakers with it, but thanks to the Prologic II software feature built into GameCube it magically turns the sound from 2 Channel To a WHOPPING 5 CHANNEL SURROUND for the utlimate exprience in gaming with Ninty's next generation Games Conosle. This system most definatley takes advantage of the Cubes hardware and will DEFINATLEY make you enjoy your games a LOT more.
NOTE: This system is especially good on StarWars Rogue Leader, so if you have this game i would CERTAINLY recommend that you buy this Sound System. At the price of only 35-40 Quid, its a real bargain and itll more than likley last just as long as your Cube does.

2.1 Speaker System
Incredible.
I bought this speaker system out of sheer annoyance with the noise my ps2 made. With this system on I am no longer annoyed by the sound of the cooling fan working and can now feel the sound. Compared to when I just had my insignificant TV speaker I would never go back. Having the additional system makes every game and DVD much more enjoyable, even when I've already watched the movie and played the game before. A must have for perfectionists to use the ps2.
TV or Video not capatible??
I found this a great addition to my PS2 as my TV and Video didn't have the option of surround sound and were not capatible.
I found that DVD's weren't very loud at all on PS2 through my TV and part of the experience of having DVD should be the sound quality. The surround sound system more than meade up for the inadequate TV and Video - a must buy!!!
Pretty Damn Cool
Very cool. I bought this coz i have my ps2 on a small 14" TV in my room and the spearkers are rubbish!
I was supprised at the sub woofer and how much difference it made to my games, and the sound quality from the two speakers is so crisp and clear!
Make sure you play GTA 3 with these, it sounds SOOOOO much better!
Fantasitc buy, worth every penny!

DSS - 900 5.1 Speaker System
Ok, but you can do better
I know the thought of Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound speakers WITH a decoder for this money is appealing, and yes I'll admit, it's OK for the money. The sound is competent for small rooms. And the bass sounds smooth with music, but lacks the punch required for movies. The sattelites have the potential to be pushed to their limit, but they roll off at 200hz in the lower departement and due to the restrictions in RMS rating & sensitivity it limits their use to a small room. This isn't the most stylish system either, with the speaker's square bulky shape making them look ugly & unattractive.
In Pro Logic the sound is forced & lacks control, and the 3.5mm jack input restricts improving the sound quality with descent interconnects. The same rule applies to the speakers, with phono terminals replacing speaker wire - and the short lengthed centre restricts where you can place the sub.
Still this is a well priced system offering everything you'd expect at this price & perhaps a little more.
DSS - 900 5.1 Speaker System
The DSS - 900 5.1 Speaker System for X-BOX is brilliant. Like when you throw a grenade in halo. Let it set off then stand underneath were you set it off and unlike on a normal tv you will be able to hear the dust fall all around you. It is really easy to connect to the X-BOX and gives out good crisp sound when you're playing DVD's or playing any other X-BOX games.The X-BOX is brilliant by it's self, but this makes it 10 times better.
Highly Recommended
For this price you can't go wrong you would have to pay at least double to get the same surround experience as you do with these. I set up the system in approx 15 mins as everything was colour coded. There are 3 inputs analogue, Digital coax and Optical so I have my XBOX, DVD AND TV all linked up with 5.1 surround sound. The speaker have long cables so you can position your speakers for optimum performance. Watched a few movies (Evolution, Matrix) all fantastic, Halo on Xbox was brilliant the surround brings a whole new dimension......why are you reading this go and buy now

5.1 Dolby Digital PS2 Speaker System
Pretty Damn Good!
If you think this system it a lot of money to spend just on speakers, don't! This system is - £ for £ - by far the best value system I've seen. It features an impressive Dolby Digital decoder unit; supporting both Digital Co-Axial and Optical inputs (cables for both are included - a miracle in itself); enabling further upgrading of the system via the use of a separate decoder with digital out, and a 3.5mm Jack input for use with Stereo systems; giving full Dolby Pro Logic surround sound.
I'd spent all my time searching for a low priced system for use with my DVD player and the price of this caused me to be skeptical before buying. However, as soon as I got the thing home I was reassured completely. The subwoofer boasts an impressive punch to its bass and the satellites position effects definitively and naturally. When testing it on the musical soundtrack to "Almost Famous" it proved its groove, and against the high pace action of "Face/Off" it coped equally well.
When setting it up an entire 10 minutes was consumed. Everything slots into place and the RCA connections between speakers take away the fiddly speaker wire antics from standard systems. Another benefit is the interchangable speaker grills; you have two colours to choose from, Silver or Black - Pictured above.
Problem one - for most - will be the absense of a 3.5mm jack to 2 RCA cable in the package. If you're planning on using the system for Pro Logic from a stereo source (Nicam TV/VCR, Hi Fi System etc) you'll need to buy one of these. But don't panic they're reasonably priced, although they may be difficult to find.
Problem two - for me - was that with music the sound occasionally lacked treble and you can't tweak it yourself so if you've got the money spare, I'd suggest buying a graphic equaliser and coupling it with the decoder unit.
The petit two problems aside - for this money who cares anyway? This is a top notch system, and one I have no regrets with buying.
The ultimate sound system for PS2
Okay,so this system is expensive but it adds so much to either gaming or DVD it's difficult to know where to start. The bass is fantastic and truly mirrors the sort of effect achieved in the cinema. When watching something like Star Wars or Aliens for example, in a normal size room you are literally driven against the wall. I kid you not! The control is so startling that the dropping of a wrench in Aliens, rings through the wall of background sound effects with amazing clarity. To be honest the pureness of the higher frequency response is if anything more breathtaking than the bass. When playing State of Emergency, shotguns really thump and explosions will make even hardened gamers jump. If I have a gripe, it is that a deep sense of dissatisfaction is engendered by the size of the television screen. I have quite a few hours experience using a 28 inch screen and this sound system dominates the visual image. You would need a screen three or four times bigger to grapple with this monster. No other system comes close. Buy it, it's expensive but what the heck. This is the benchmark. Blow your mind...
Very Good Value For Money
After reading a couple of reviews on this website i thought i would get these speakers. I am i glad that i did! Not only does it improve the quality of the gaming it drowns out the noise of the fan, which is brilliant when watching DVD's - but make sure to set the DVD function to play it in Dolby Digital to get the top quality out of the speakers. The bass on it is superb as you can feel the vibrations, its just like going to the cinemas. A definate not only for true gamers but for anyone that wants top quality sound.

I have hesitantly bought this new set of speakers to replace my aging Sound Station 2 speakers. I mulled it over a few days, and couldn't resist buying them! I'm hoping they'll match with the Bush television I have, and be just as good, and amazing :D Another review on the way wen they're here! :D
{EDIT} - I love them! They're awesome! so much better than the Sound Station 2 (never thought I'd hear myself say that!) the 3D mode is great, it adds that extra 'speaker' sound, to give it that surround sound feel, a must buy! you won't regret it!!!! BUY NOW!

4.9 but sound quality won me over
My first impressions were wow.....what a great looking dock. When I took it out the box I was worried due to the fact I couldn't see a power socket and only the battery cover. Took me a few seconds once my heart settled that I noticed it was at the back on the side. There's a little switch at the front to alternate between 2 and 4 speakers. Nice feature but who wouldn't keep it on 4 all the time. Only reason I would give it 4.9 is due to the fact it doesn't have a remote but once I got it I felt it wasn't really a necessity. Note you do get the 3.5 audio extension which can also be used for audio in which is located next to the headphone socket at the front. You also get a very useful usb/power cord attachment which all folds neatly in the back. It's got a smart little off switch for the psp which when pushed a little plastic prod nudges the psp on/off switch. Great seeing as you don't need to dismount the psp in order to turn it off. It also charges the psp even if the whole dock is switched off but still plugged in. Seriously would recommend this product due to its great sound and connectivity. Oh yea and it doesn't look all shiny, plastic and tatty either....it actually looks like an expensive piece of kit.
