A Suprisingly powerful unit
After receiving the goods and having the time to try out the unit I was surprised how good it actually was. Being a perfectionist when it comes to hifi and Home cinema I wasn't expecting much from such tiny speakers. This unit has more than enough omph for anything from music to playing games to watching movies.... ok it won't rival the best Ipod dock on the market, but its more than enough to have a clear and crisp sound.
The remote is tiny but functional with fwd and rev as well as volume and thats it. All the functions of the PSP are accessible whilst docked. Games can be played with the unit docked however I would imagine small hands would struggle with holding the bulk of both the PSP and the dock for any long periods.
The blue leds give off a good glow surrounding the unit but don't really add anything to the experience for me, I usually opt for using the unit without them (the switch has two working positions - on and on with leds).
I've probably used the unit for a little over 3 hours and the batteries supplied are still holding up to the job. The PSP can be charged and the unit operated through the PSP power supply as an option, but the PSP will not be charged from the dock when battery power is used.
It also has two headphone outputs for those users wishing to share in the experience through headphones.
The one thing I will point out is being careful when inserting and removing the PSP from the Dock. I would imagine the power and headphone sockets wouldn't take too much of a hammering before connections become loose. Its not really a fault with the unit as the connections do appear to be sturdy, but its worth pointing out that you need to be careful when pushing on pulling the unit from the dock.
All in all, very pleased with the item and for the money you cannot go wrong.
