superb!!!
this has to be the best speaker system on the market. when i first bought it i rushed home rippeed open the packaging and plugged it in, the firt game i tried this with was halo, it was amazing......bullets flying everywhere and the strange sounds of the enemy coming from behind. secondly i tried the surround sound system with colin mcrae rally 3 (one of the best games ever !!!!) this was absolutely superb i couldnt stop playing for hours the sound was ncredible , the engine sounds from the front, the throaty sound of the exhaust from behind and the sound of my co driver to my side, and all the time the sound being crystal clear even if i turned it up full blast not even one problem occured with the sharpness of the sound.(UNBELIEVABLE !!!!!!!!) i myself own a gampod ( ash design ) when used with the xbox colin mcrae rally 3 and this superb sound system you are glued in front of the tv for hours. you can use this system with any game and you'll be blown away ( literally!) by the superb quallity of the sound, i cant stop raving to my friends about this product, they have also used this speaker sytem and they highly recommend it. be the envy of all your friend, even your gran ! and buy this sound system ............what are u waiting for , order it now its tooooo good to miss . my finall verdict SUPERB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The optimal solution
Taylor made for the xbox these speakers offer excellent all round perfrmance. I originally had set of top range Phillips computer surround speakers that I thought were wonderful - until they blew! I'm so pleased they did. These creative ones are much more powerful and hence have much better audio quality. They link directly to my xbox/dvd-player optical port avoiding any sound degradation. I wouldn't dream of upgrading these for a more expensive silver cinema system cos there really is no need - they're that good. They also look good too. Only reservation is the leads are too short for a large room (easiliy fixed with standard mono phono cables)even though. the sound would definitely fill it. Seriously - I played Ghost Recon Island Thunder and I almost caught a cold from the rain splashing around me and got half deafened off a grenade at about half volume. Pity my neighbours.
A superb mid range product
I have decided to leave it a few months before i wrote this to see if i came up with any niggles. There was no need - the system is astounding with great sound quality all the way up to the loudest volume.
Ive hooks it up to my TV and my Xbox with the optical cable and as other reviewers said 'nothing can beat it....'
THe looks are a huge upgrade from anything else on the market at the same price range with the digital decoder (allows you to use your xbox with digital encoding through optical cable) a key selling point.
The only niggles ive had with it is the lengths of the speaker cables provided. Though that was sorted with some cables that cost me two pounds with no sound quality lost.
THis sound system looks as though it will follow be through university and beyond.....
