DS Lite Deluxe Accessory Pack - Pink

great value for money & all pink!!5
Despite what a lot of people have written about this pack, I do think it's well worth the money. I love that I can have all matching pink accessories for my pink DS!

The travel power pack is such a great & useful idea that it's almost worth buying this pack just for it! It's small, easy to use & even has a clip to attach it to your belt or bag.

The earphones work suprisingly well for the overall price. You can't hear the DS when they're plugged in so they stop you from annoying people on the train etc when you're playing. They also have a volume control on them which is handy.

The screen protectors have been given a lot of flack by reviewers; but I've got the touch screen one on my DS and am very pleased with it. It wasn't hard to get it on smooth and you can't tell it's there. I'd only had my DS a day when it got it's first scratch so I think it's a good idea to protect it. It doesn't stop the stylus from working either.

The game cases are not perfect. They are a little hard to open the first few times and you have to put stickers on them to tell what game's inside. But they are essential if you want to take your DS out of the house.

The case has just enough space to fit the console, cases, spare stylus', cloth & earphones - all that you really need to take out with you. It also has a thin strap. Perhaps it could all do with being a bit sturdier, but overall the case does the job.

The screen cloth is very useful for cleaning & nice & small.

I'm not entirely sure why they include a second power adapter, but hey, it doesn't do any harm to have a spare - you can always leave it somewhere you are likely to need it (work, parents house etc). And you get a car adapter too (I haven't used this yet).

All in all, very good value.

Quite good4
I got this accessory pack to match my Pink Nintendo DS. Here's what I think of each item that it came with.

Carry Case - Quite good but it doesn't hold many games and stuff like that.
Car Power Adaptor AC Power Adaptor - Although I haven't used this yet I am sure it will be very useful for when in the car.
Mobile Power Pack - This is really good. It can only hold like 2 charges but is really useful!
Stereo Earphones - I love these earphones! They have volume control on them and are really good.
Stylus Pens - These sometimes get stuck inside the DS. But they are pink so they match my DS!
Dual Games Case - These are really handy but it should have came with more of them.
GBA Game Cases - This is good but quite chunky!
Dual Screen Protector Kit - Whatever you do , do NOT use this! If you peel it off the top screen it leaves lots of residue!
Micro Fibre Cleaning Cloth - This cleans up all the little 'scratches' and smudges on the DS.

Mixed review4
There are pros and cons to this pack; to start off with, the headphones are pretty good given what you're using them for, and they come with an inline volume control which is handy.

The games cases are useful; you get four individual DS game cases, and a larger case which should fit two DS games and two GBA games. (I cannot confirm the latter as I have yet to purchase GBA games.) The plastic cases are not the best quality in the world, but they're robust enough to handle a bit of scuffing. They *are* a bit difficult to open though, but I have to say, using the wide end of the stylus (with the lanyard slot) as a "key" tends to pop them open quite easily.

A common gripe is that the stylus pens get stuck in the console - this is correct, and it requires a lot of force to remove them again. There *is* a workaround though; you can use a common nail file/emery board (or even some fine glass paper for you macho men out there) to gently rub down the 'nub' on the side of the stylus. If you do it right, the stylus will still 'catch' when you store it in the slot, but won't fall out of its own accord. (Just don't over-file it!) It is obvious that the pens are made of an inferior material, so I would advise being a little more careful when using them.

I have not yet tried the screen protectors, and judging by the reviews here, I shouldn't bother. I have heard that using these types of protector invalidates your warranty, so I'm even more loath to do it now. (Apologies if I am wrong.)

The case in itself is pretty good - as long as you're happy transporting the DS and not much else. The four small DS game cases that are included will also fit, as will a stylus or two, and the headphones (with a bit of jiggling), but it will be a bit squashed.

The redeeming part of this pack is the mobile charger. I do a lot of travelling, and I'm not always able to charge my DS on the go; with the mobile charger I always have enough battery life to finish what I'm doing and save it before I lose my data. I haven't timed how long it lasted, but each time I've used it I've been playing as I charged, and it still lasted a fair amount of time.

It's also handy to get both an in-car charger (in pink) and a spare mains charger with this kit, just to keep as a backup or in a different location if you travel around a lot.

Overall, I'd say that while I was disappointed with some parts of this pack, on the whole I was happy with it and would not consider it to be a waste of money; between the main case, the headphones and the spare chargers, I'd say this was well worth it.
